Add or Subtract Time
Shift a time of day by the hours and minutes you choose. The result stays a clear 24-hour time, wrapped to the neighboring day if it crosses midnight.
Shifted time
How it works
You enter a start time in 24-hour format and an amount of hours and minutes to add or subtract. The tool shifts the time and, if the result leaves the day, reports the neighboring day explicitly rather than leaving you to guess.
Examples
- 09:00 plus 5 hours 30 minutes is 14:30 on the same day.
- 23:00 plus 2 hours is 01:00 on the next day.
- 01:00 minus 2 hours is 23:00 on the previous day.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Hours Between Times?
That tool measures the elapsed time between two times. This one shifts a single chosen time of day by an amount you add or subtract.
What happens when the result crosses midnight?
The clock time wraps and the tool reports whether the result is on the same, the next, or the previous day.
Does it handle a start time like 23:30?
Yes. Start times use 24-hour format from 00:00 to 23:59, so 23:30 is a valid input.
Can I shift by more than 24 hours?
Yes. Whole hours can exceed 24; the result is reported as a time of day plus a day offset.
