How it works
The tool finds the exact span from the start date-time to the end date-time and breaks it into whole days, hours, and remaining minutes. It is the bridge between the date-only tools and the clock-only tools.
Examples
- May 10 at 12:00 to May 13 at 16:20 is 3 days, 4 hours, and 20 minutes.
- May 10 at 23:00 to May 11 at 08:45 is 9 hours and 45 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the other duration tools?
The date-only and time-only tools measure either calendars or clocks. This one spans a full date and time on both ends, so a multi-day span is reported in days, hours, and minutes.
What precision does it use?
Whole minutes are the finest unit; seconds are not counted. The span runs from the start minute to the end minute inclusive of neither partial interval.
Does it handle a span crossing midnight or several days?
Yes. Days accumulate, and hours and minutes are the remainder.
What if the end is before the start?
The two date-times are compared directly; an end earlier than the start is an error and nothing is shown.
